Friends, this is a short blog, but trust me: go see War Room. Wait for the part where Priscilla Shirer’s character has a little talk with the enemy. You know that enemy well-it’s the same one that wants to kill, steal and destroy you and for those of us who are on the front line teaching each day, trying to be Jesus in the classroom, that enemy is after you.
Have a similar talk with the enemy when he tries to defeat you in that classroom. As I like to put it, tell Satan to go to Hell. It’s his rightful home. If you are a follower of Jesus, your home is with our King, the One and Only Savior. I am in need of a Savior everyday and for all eternity.
Many of you got your first paycheck-go spend some of it wisely Sunday afternoon and go to the movies. The papers will wait.
Don’t even think about skipping church in the morning. We both are going to need a word from God and if you are not in church, how are you going to hear it? Plus I need to worship! Don’t you?
God is good.
